My name is Jorge and I’m the creator of Spanish Colombiano.

I was born and raised in Colombia, and today I live in Melbourne, Australia. Although my professional background is in engineering, my real passion has always been helping people around the world improve their Spanish in a natural, enjoyable and authentic way.

For years, I’ve been creating content for intermediate Spanish learners who feel stuck between “understanding” Spanish and actually speaking it confidently.

And honestly, I understand that feeling very well.

The Birth of

When I moved to Australia, I experienced what it feels like to live in another language and culture. Adapting is not always easy. Listening to different accents, trying to express yourself naturally, and feeling insecure while speaking can be frustrating.

Over time, I realized something important:

There are millions of Spanish learners who know grammar, understand vocabulary, and can read Spanish… but when it’s time to speak, they freeze.

Many students spend years memorizing rules and vocabulary lists, yet they still struggle to have real conversations naturally and confidently.

That’s why I created Spanish Colombiano.

My mission is to help you develop natural fluency and confidence through real stories, authentic conversations, and content you genuinely enjoy.

My Philosophy for Learning Languages

I believe languages are not learned only through grammar rules.

They are learned through listening, understanding meaningful messages, and connecting emotionally with the language.

How the Método Podcast Was Born

After years of creating podcast episodes and helping students, I discovered something interesting:

Many learners improved dramatically simply by consistently listening to authentic Spanish content.

But I also noticed that most students didn’t know how to use podcasts effectively.

That’s why I created the Método Podcast: a practical system designed to improve your listening comprehension, vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency through real podcast episodes.

The idea is simple:
